Elegance and power. A fairly structured wine, with firm tannins, but with a beautiful length. The fruitiness combines with floral notes of rose and wallflower. The aging potential is evident: this wine will need 8 to 10 years to reach its maturity.

• Situation : This Premier Cru is located on the Côte St Jacques. Its full East exposure is ideal for Pinot. This climate, less known than the 24 other Premiers Crus, is nonetheless of great pedigree and has a aging potential that rivals the Grands Crus.

• Terroir (s) : we find three types of Premiers Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin. The most famous ones line the Côte St Jacques, which is how this slope was named in the 19th century, stretching from Bossière at the beginning of the combe to the Champeaux adjacent to Brochon. Another cluster is located under the Grands Crus. Finally, the best plots of the alluvial cone, at the exit of the combe, have also earned this name. Gevrey is one of the two most well-endowed areas of the Côte de Nuits. This climate or plot of land, recognized for centuries, produces a wine with a unique personality. The exposure is full South.
