Jamet Estate, Côte Rôtie, 2007, Magnum 150cl

In the heart of the Côte-Rôtie hills, Jean-Paul, Corinne, and their son Loïc combine respect for the terroir with a passion for wine.

« Here, the wines have a very personal, recognizable touch of chic. And that is miraculous. One can recognize Jean-Paul's Côtes-Rôties by their deep colors, the notes of black olives, slightly smoky. The palates are ample, dense in certain vintages, with camphor or menthol notes that may appear in cooler years. »

Eric Beaumard (Les Vins de Ma Vie, 2015)

About the Domaine Jamet

Source domain

Jean-Paul & Corinne Jamet

In the heart of the Côte Rôtie hills, Domaine Jamet continues to respect the terroir and the passion for wine.

From the village of Ampuis, one must climb four kilometers through the hills to reach Domaine Jamet. This very pleasant progression allows one to grasp the steep slope of the Côte-Rôtie hills. It is these inimitable terroirs that give all their character to this exceptional nectar.

Domaine Jamet is located on the plateau, in the place called "Le Vallin", where the panorama is fabulous and allows glimpses of Mont Blanc and the Alps on clear days. Entering this cellar, nature and simplicity are the key words of the Jamet family, united around the artisan of the place. It is in this context that Jean-Paul, his wife Corinne, and more recently their eldest son Loïc passionately cultivate the vine and wine.

Characterful bottles such as those from Domaine Jamet are the result of the work of a terroir and especially of a man. Over the years spent traversing the hills of Côte Rôtie, Jean-Paul has followed his instinct and forged his certainties. Thus, he vinified the wines of Domaine Jamet for the fortieth year in the autumn of 2015.

Grown on steep hillsides and arranged in terraces commonly known as "chayets", the vines thrive on a subsoil primarily composed of schist and to a lesser extent granite. In the face of this exceptional nature, it is essential for Jean-Paul Jamet and his family to remain respectful of this heritage.
