Tasting

Violet-blue robe. Very expressive nose dominated by fruity notes and great minerality. Ample mouth. Tannic structure with very silky tannins. Long and flavorful finish.

About the estate

Château Pontet-Canet is the direct neighbor of Château Mouton Rothschild and has been owned by the TESSERON family since 1975, currently with Alfred, Mélanie, and Philippine TESSERON at the helm.

After six years of work, Pontet-Canet was the first of the Classified Growths of the Médoc to convert to organic and biodynamic viticulture.

Its vineyard of 81ha is cultivated with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

Aging: 16 months, in new barrels (50%), Dolia (35%) and one-wine barrels (15%).

Certified in organic agriculture by Ecocert. 

Certified in biodynamic agriculture by Biodyvin since 2010 and by Demeter since 2014.
