Champagne Dom Perignon Brut White Vintage 2002 Magnum 150cl
Tasting
Source: Champagne Dom Pérignon
THE PALATE
The presence of the wine in the mouth is surprising: the texture is paradoxically dense and creamy, an energetic and warm appeal, centered on the fruit, which gradually becomes more serious, deeper. The whole holds the note wonderfully, intensely, barely highlighted by a subtle and refined bitterness.
THE NOSE
The first hints, fresh almond and the harvest, immediately open up to candied lemon and dried fruits. This is complemented by the darker notes of smoke and toast.
THE HARVEST 2002
A warm and dry spring, without any particular frost, allowing for an almost perfect bloom. A summer marked by long periods of sunshine, regularly interrupted by a few cloudy and rainy episodes. Unexpected perfect weather a few days before the harvest compensated for the heavy rains at the end of August and beginning of September. The vines were in good condition and the dehydration of the grapes allowed for new levels of maturity to be reached. The harvest began between September 12 and 28.
