History of the estate
The ARLAUD estate finds its origin in 1942 thanks to the meeting of a Burgundian, Renée AMIOT and Joseph ARLAUD, a man from Ardèche. The wedding basket contains beautiful vines that Joseph completes as early as 1949. In 1966, they acquire a historic site from the 14th century for wine aging. This cellar has been featured on our label since then.
Hervé ARLAUD succeeds his father in 1983 and continues with his wife Brigitte to expand the vineyard. Their children will join them successively. They will all work together on the estate from 2004 to 2012.
In 2013, Cyprien ARLAUD takes over the management of the family estate, which includes 19 appellations on 15 hectares with four Grands Crus: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint Denis, Charmes Chambertin, and Bonnes Mares.
The historic cellar is at the heart of Nuits Saint Georges. This authentic and unique place carries with it 3 generations of Burgundian hospitality. It now houses a collection of old vintages.
The estate with its newer winery and aging cellars in barrels is in MOREY SAINT DENIS.
